Learn how to easily adjust the mileage on a Toyota R7F701441 instrument cluster using the OBDSTAR ODO Master tool via bench connection.
Tools Required:
OBDSTAR Odomaster (or X300 Classic G3)
High-power DC regulated power supply
Main cable
Toyota R7F701441 Dashboard
*Ensure your OBDSTAR software is updated to the latest version before starting.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Open ODO Master > AGREE > Select TOYOTA/LEXUS/DAIHATSU > Choose the latest version > TOYOTA > LEVIN > R7F701441 DENSO > BENCH.
- Tap “Guide” to review the function details, menu options, and connection diagram.
- Connect the dashboard using the P004 adapter and jumper as shown in the wiring guide.
- Once connected, select”ECU Info” to confirm the dashboard is detected. The original mileage will be displayed (e.g., 6789 km).
- Choose “Read EEPROM (R7F701441)” and save the file.
- Select “Mileage Calibration” and save the data file.
Note: If the read mileage is about 1.6 times higher than the dashboard display, the cluster is set to miles. Divide the desired mileage by 1.609433 before calibrating.
- Enter the new mileage value (e.g., 6000 km) and tap “Enter”.
- Turn the ignition OFF, then ON, then OFF, then ON again.
- The dashboard will now show the updated mileage. Confirm the change by checking “ECU Info” again.
Calibration Complete!
