For this MV Agusta key job, I used OBDSTAR MotoMaster to work through the dashboard. The system is PIC16F690 Texas Crypto4D, so the EEPROM needs to be read from the dashboard before making the key.
Prepare the Tools
- MOTO MASTER
- High-power DC regulated power supply
- Main cable
- MP001 Programmer
- W004 and W005 Read/Write Soldering Wires
- Transponder chip
- MV Agusta dashboard
Update OBDSTAR MOTO MASTER to the latest version before starting.
Watch Video Tutorial:
Read the Dashboard EEPROM
- Go to RFID >> MAKE KEY >> Latest Version >> Manual Select System >> MV AGUSTA >> DASHBOARD PIC16F690 TEXAS CRYPTO4D.
- Open Cautions and Guide, then select Read EEPROM >> PIC16F690. Open the Help guide before wiring.
- Follow the wiring diagram to open the dashboard and solder the wires. Lift pin 4 before proceeding. Connect the wiring as shown in the diagram.
- When the tool asks you to connect the MP001 Programmer to the diagnostic device, tap Yes. Save the EEPROM file after the read is finished.

Load the EEPROM & Make the Key
- Select Load Files, load the saved EEPROM backup, and tap OK.
- Go to Main Key >> Make Keys.
- Place the new key into the device key sensing coil and tap OK. The chip programming will complete successfully.

Verification
Put the programmed chip in the vehicle and start it. If the vehicle starts and the basic functions work normally, the job is done.
